A guest review of the iPad 3
Following the recent release of the iPad 3 and the supply of several across our client base over the last month, we were interested to hear how some of NGO Consulting’s clients were getting on with the latest tablet technology from Apple.
Sarah Cooper of The Clever Consultancy was happy to guest write our blog this week, providing her thoughts on the iPad 3 – here’s what she thinks of hers so far:
“The battery life is really impressive. I suppose I’m comparing this to my iPhone, which I constantly seem to be charging, but it’s good
nonetheless. Transferring iTunes from my existing MacBook was a lot easier than I thought it would be, just a simple case of connecting them together and moving everything across. iPhoto is a little trickier but I do have a lot of photos and I’m sure this would be simpler with less!
Apple’s strategy is that it’s increasingly about the cloud and not the internal storage on the device. This is a much better idea as you’ll be able to view content on all your Apple devices without filling up your memory.
However, for me, the most appealing thing about the iPad 3 is its simplicity. You instinctively know how it works, even if you’re not used to an Apple operating system. Our friends’ children came round and had a play on it and they took photos, videos, looked online etc…they are 2 and 3! That says it all, I think.”
